585 Arts

The Projects Group is working with Global Arts Live to provide Owner Representation services for their newest project in Cambridge, Massachusetts, called 585 Arts. This 16-story tower, 615,000 SF development will offer state-of-the-art lab and office space, as well as a new 30,000 SF performing arts center with a 400-seat theater and matching rehearsal space, 150-seat commons stage with year-round garden, rehearsal studio, and ground-floor gathering spaces to include a community area with pop-up activities, meetup spaces, a bar, a cafe, and a common stage with informal performances, community events, and more.

BioMed Realty and Global Arts Live/585 Arts are committing $60,000,000+ to build and equip the state-of-the-art performing arts center and to launch and sustain the Center’s operations. The Project Group was engaged by Global Arts Live to serve as “tenant” representative for the theatre and performance spaces in the 585 Kendall BioMed research building.
